I love a themed kids book. Themed books are so great for exposing kids to lots of different language skills and concepts. Plus, they become so meaningful (which means kids are more likely to remember the vocabulary and concepts they learn) when we read them alongside real life events, like reading books about spring in spring time!
Here are some of my favorites based on your child’s age!
For babies 0-12 months old:

The ABC’s of Spring by Jill Howarth
Who’s in the Garden? by Simon Abbott
Itsy Bitsy Spider finger puppet book
Let’s Go Outside by Ekaterina Trukhan
For toddlers 1-2 years old:
Worm Weather by Jean Taft & Matt Hunt
Bear Finds Eggs by Karma Wilson
The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s First Spring by Eric Carle
Little Blue Truck’s Springtime by Alice Schertle

For preschoolers 3-4 years old:

The Flower Thief by Alice Hemming & Nicola Slater
How to Catch a Garden Fairy by Alice Walstead & Andy Elkerton
The Little Gardener by Emily Hughes
In the Garden by Emma Giuliani
Let me know what your favorites are and happy reading!
